THE BASICS

 

The 13th has many open positions and is looking to rebuild.  As one of the largest reenactment groups in Kansas and Missouri we have plenty of events and reenactment requests each year.

 

COMMISSIONED OFFICERS - If you want to fill an officers position, you must have prior experience reenacting or prior military service equal to or lesser then the grade in which you wish to fill.  You will also have to be appointed by a vote of the current members.

 

NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS -If you want to be a NCO you must have prior reenacting experience.  All senior NCO ranks must be appointed by a vote of the current members.

 

PRIVATES - Anyone over the age of 16 can fill all rifle carrying positions.

 

MUSICIANS - Anyone over the age of 11 can play the drum (snare and bass), fife, and bugle.

 

COLOR GUARD - The 13th Kansas has a Color Guard that participates in sporting events, parades, school demonstrations and drill ceremonies in the local area.  These positions are appointed by the commanding officer.

 

CIVILIAN IMPRESSIONS - We currently have many different impersonations including politicians, doctors, prisoners of war, and the civilian women/children.  If you have an idea for additions feel free to contact us and we would love to discuss other impressions.
